Without disfiguring your Healey, you can add what every Big Healey needs: AIR CONDITIONING The kit uses a custom manufactured compressor bracket to replace the original generator plate. A GM 105 amp alternator mounts to the Sanden 508, running off of the rear pulley on the compressor. A two groove crank pulley is NOT required. A basic kit is $250, plus shipping. A deluxe kit, including belts, bolts, and alternator, is $450, plus shipping. Texas Residents add 8.25% sales tax. Installation is available. As you can see, the service ports on the line are accessible behind the alternator. Unfortunately, the alternator used in most Healey conversions could not be used because of the size. This installation is on a 1960 BT-7.
